Nursing expertise

Professional nursing promotes and preserves health, prevents complications, and helps patients manage illnesses, their symptoms and their treatments. The goal is to achieve the best possible care and treatment outcomes and maximise the patient's quality of life in all phases through to death.

Our philosophy

Medical expertise combined with heartfelt care

Every person is a unique individual who has been shaped by their social and cultural environments. As we age and evolve, we encounter health challenges at different stages of our lives – be it dealing with a serious illness, or learning to live with chronic conditions and limitations. Here at Klinik Schloss Mammern, we respect and value the individuality and dignity of all people regardless of their religion, nationality or background.

Our nursing
concept

Here at Klinik Schloss Mammern, we place personalised and professional care at the heart of what we do. Our goal is to help patients maintain at least the same level of independence and quality of life. Our nursing concept also includes supporting the patient's loved ones and carers with guidance, information, counselling and, if necessary, caregiver training. We base our approach to professional nursing on the definition by E. Spichiger, A. Kesselring, R. Spirig, S. De Geest and the "Zukunft Medizin Schweiz" group of the Swiss Academy of Medical Sciences (2006), published in  Pflege (issue 19, p. 51). This definition acknowledges that nursing is practised by nurses with basic training and ones with various advanced qualifications, and thus by generalists and specialists.
