Klinik Schloss Mammern – State-of-the-art rehabilitation in elegant surroundings.
Klinik Schloss Mammern has been in the hands of our family since 1889. Today, we continue to care for our patients with a team of more than 400 staff. What our great-grandfather, Dr Oscar Ullmann, started when he bought the former sanatorium has grown over four generations into a leading private clinic for rehabilitation and early rehabilitation. At Klinik Schloss Mammern, we create the ideal conditions for recovery through a unique combination of medical, therapeutic and nursing expertise, always with one clear goal in mind: getting you "back to health". In our daily work with patients, we prioritise human connection, which is reflected above all in personalised care and a warm, compassionate approach. This harmonious blend of medical expertise and genuine empathy has always been at the heart of our clinic. The unique surroundings, first-class hospitality and exquisite cuisine at Klinik Schloss Mammern also contribute to the patient's well-being and play an important role in the healing process.

History
A well-preserved family tradition. From sanatorium to leading private clinic.
Schloss Mammern was built in 1621 and transformed into a hydrotherapy institute under various owners following secularisation. It wasn't until 1889, when the young Dr Oscar Ullmann took charge, that the struggling sanatorium began to gain a reputation at international level. Subsequent generations have continued this legacy to the present day.
The golden age came to an abrupt end with World War I, when no foreign patients could be admitted for several years. From 1926, Dr Oscar Ullmann managed the sanatorium with his eldest son, Dr Waldemar Ullmann, who then took over at the helm in 1935. The Second World War and the clinic's proximity to Germany led to a severe crisis. After the childless Dr Waldemar Ullmann passed away on 14 September 1944, his sister Ilse Fleisch-Ullmann and her husband, Professor Dr Alfred Fleisch, took over the sanatorium. In 1958, their son, Dr Alfred Oscar Fleisch, a cardiologist, assumed the management of both the medical and administrative side, which led to a period of remarkable success.
In 1997, Dr Alfred Oscar Fleisch put his daughter, Dr Annemarie Fleisch Marx, and his daughter-in-law, Dr Ruth Fleisch-Silvestri, in charge of the clinic's medical operations. The two chief physicians continue to successfully lead the clinic and its more than 400 employees, with the support of Director Beat Oehrli and the management team.
With the opening of the new annex in autumn 2022, the clinic reached another historic milestone and set the course for an even brighter future. A unique blend of design and nature, the luxurious building offers an exclusive premium experience that combines medical excellence and first-class hospitality with "healing architecture".
Quality
The outstanding service in the clinic's main areas of expertise, combined with the complete dedication of all staff, ensures the highest standard of treatment and care for patients and their families. Patient satisfaction is key to the continuous development and long-term success of the clinic. To consistently deliver excellent results, the effectiveness and efficiency of existing processes are assessed and optimised on an ongoing basis. Regular audits are conducted to ensure quality across all processes.
